Adam Mackintosh is a Singer/Songwriter/Performer from Northern California. Hailing from the hometown of Primus/Metallica members and going to shows at Barrington Hall on the UC Berkley campus to see such bands for an attendance fee of a bottle of cheap wine, he developed a fascination for the East Bay Art Rock/deconstructivist movement of the late 80’s. Attending college at SF State in the early 90’s, he studied Music and Film. By Ninety-five the dot com movement had taken over San Francisco and like many other artists, he was exiled to an American city he could afford to live in.

New Orleans, Louisiana called to him and from 95-2000 he played small acoustic venues and gained the privilege of sitting at the piano with Jazz great Loren Pickford (Chet Baker) and rock legend James Hall (Pleasure Club). In 2000 Adam moved back to the west coast out of frustration with economic and racial tensions in the Deep South and found a home in Portland, Oregon.

From 2000 to 2005 Adam toured Spain 6 times as either a solo Acoustic artist or with a 7-piece band with money he earned bartending at seminal rocker launch pad Dante’s Inferno. After forming the Independent Artist factory AudioCinema in 2005, Adam was invited to Steel Bridge Songfest in June of 2006 where his talents afforded him the opportunity to open for Jackson Browne and have one of his original songs start the compilation Steel Bridge Songs Vol. 1, with a live performance from Jackson on the same release.

Adam is currently booking a Spring/Summer tour through the Midwest with various dates on the East and West Coasts.
